Designing Simulacra I wanted to create a unique level that is not related to Portal 2's story or its Aperture Labs. My goal was to create an experience that would allow players to interpret Simulacra level in their own way and come up with their own version of the story. An abstract theme with colored tiles along with bizarre puzzles were the main elements to create a dream state and disparate from Portal 2 universe and generate an independent simulacrum.
