Mansion Lime

Custom Level Design for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Created Textures, 3D Models and Environment.

I remade my most favorite map in Counter-Strike: cs_mansion by Magnus Lind.
This small map that became a classic was originally designed in 1999
as a game testing map for Counter-Strike Beta 1.0.

Source Engine's Valve Hammer Editor
used as a main level and BSP constructor tool.

3DS Max and WorldWorm Plug-in also used as a level
constructor and models and textures exporter to Source Engine.

Houdini used for creating Non-BSP geometry.

VMT Editor used to create materials.

Terragen 4 was used to create 6 sided cloudy Skybox.

As Classic Mansion's environment is cloudy,
I decided to fuse vibrant lime color #ccc600
as it goes well with shades of gray.

Gray and Lime combination catalyzed with neon lights
creates simple and sophisticated ambiance
that will not bore users eyes even after long play sessions.

Mansion Lime is a museum that is currently hosting a CSGO trophies exhibition

1st Floor Expo area

2nd Floor Kitchen

2nd Floor Middle Office.
I had hard time tweaking lighting on the map that casted
inaccurate shadows on the walls and on other areas.
Lighting in the level still needs improvement.
