Procedural 3D model of a precast concrete wall module "ПО-2". "ПО" stands for “Плита Ограждения” or “Bar Fencing”.
Simple and universal - these real world walls were very popular in USSR, appearing mostly in the perimeters of plants, military bases and in other government organizations.
Beside visual interest of bars and their casted shadows, the wall had durability as those bars protected the structure from dust and water accumulation on it. Moreover, the main advantage of "ПО-2" was sound insulation. It was supposed that surrounded with these walls residents could receive less external sonic polution as "ПО-2" walls would reduce the noise or loud sounds from the nearby railways, construction projects and factories.
